East Dorset defeated Cheam 4-2 with one morning rubber pegged down at lunchtime and not continued. The two teams were identically matched on handicaps so it was no surprise that there were a number of very tightly fought and close games, with 5 decided at hoop 13. The match was played in pleasant sunny weather, thus excellent playing conditions.
