East Dorset defeated Sussex County 6-1 to proceed to a semi-final against Phyllis Court. In the morning East Dorset won the doubles in 2 straight games while the 2 singles were shared, both going to a 3rd game decider. In the afternoon, with rain already falling and expected to intensify, the captains agreed to shorten the remaining singles to one 19-point game rather than best of three 13-point games. East Dorset won all 4, albeit with 2 of them settled only at hoop 19.
