East Dorset defeated Phyllis Court 5-1 to proceed to the final of this year's competition. East Dorset started fast, establishing an unassailable lead winning all of the first four rubbers to finish, each in two games. Thereafter Phyllis Court came more into the match with each of the remaining three singles going to a third game decider; one victory to each team and one rubber left unfinished in the interests of allowing the visitors to depart to get ahead of the worst of the Bank Holiday traffic leaving the coast.
