After a late Covid-related withdrawal from the High Wycombe team, the sides agreed to play a best of five with three players per team.

In the morning session, Nottingham won the doubles, with the singles between Hugh and Bob being pegged down. The afternoon singles went 2-1 in favour of Wycombe, so everything came down to the resumption of Hugh and Bob's singles game. With both players for rover and peg, a missed shot by Bob let Hugh back in and he duly finished to send High Wycombe to the final.
