East Dorset beat Chester to win the Murphy Shield 5-2

East Dorset defeated Chester 5-2 in the final of this year's competition, thereby regaining the trophy they had won previously in 2019 and 2020. The match was played at Cheltenham in fine, warm weather. Although only one rubber went to a third game decider, several were closely fought.
