Four enthusiastic club members representing the Woodhall Spa Croquet Club travelled to Northampton to meet an opposing team from Swindon in the Croquet Association's Secretary's Shield.
The competition was of two rounds, the first included a doubles match and two singles, whilst the second had four singles matches with opponents paired according to handicap. Games had to be played within 3.5 hours and a couple did go to time.
After the first round, Woodhall Spa was leading 2:1. In the afternoon Woodhall Spa again managed to win 2 matches making them the overall winners of the match with a score of 4:3 wins.
One of the Swindon member, Ian Megaw, won his bronze award when he managed to score 10 hoops in his game against Roy Taylor and go on to win his game.
