The Golf Croquet Laws Committee has now released the 2005 Laws of Golf Croquet. These follow very closely the January 2005 release of Golf Croquet Rules by the WCF. The remaining differences between the WCF Rules and the CA Laws are the laws on behaviour, refereeing, and the wrong ball law (new title but includes playing out of sequence). Our committee felt that the WCF Rules on behaviour and refereeing were not appropriate to the way in which the game is played in England, i.e. without a referee in charge most of the time. In the case of the Wrong Ball law, we considered the January 2005 WCF wording not practicable so we have made minor changes to the WCF wording and added a further clause for use as a CA Law
The WCF Committee has been informed of the proposed changes to the WCF Rules that the CA GC Laws Committee consider necessary to the Wrong Ball Rule before it can be adopted as the CA Wrong Ball Law. The WCF Rules Committee has been asked to consider these changes.
