Nottingham B-Level GC Tournament

A full field of twenty-four players took to the lawns, in four blocks of six to contest the tournament.

With the large field of players, and very hot conditions, it was always going to be a long day for the main knockout qualifiers. With quarterfinals, semifinals and a final to play.

The blocks progressed nicely considering the heat, with players taking rest and hydration as necessary.

Of the four quarterfinals and two semifinals, four of the games finished with energy sapping 7-6 results.

In the third and fourth place playoff Gary Lewis bested Ian Hammond with another 7-6.

The final was a hard-fought affair with Simon Draper a deserved 7-3 victor over Pam Dawson.

Thanks to all the players for their resilience, cooperation and patience in trying conditions.
