Phyllis Court lost to East Dorset 2-4

On July 22 East Dorset travelled to Phyllis Court for a quarter-final of this year's competition. These teams had last met in a 2023 semi-final when East Dorset were comfortable winners. This year's match was closer, East Dorset winning 4-2.

East Dorset led 2-1 at lunch with a win in the doubles while the 2 singles were shared one each, all in 2 games. In the afternoon singles, the top 2 rubbers each finished in 2 games, one win for each team. The first rubber of the day to go to 3 games then went in favour of East Dorset taking them to a winning match margin. The other rubber was left unfinished at 1-1.

Phyllis Court: Ian Norris (1), Alastair Broom (2), Michael Marcel (3), Kevin Ward (4).

East Dorset : Greg Vaughn (2), Mark Hamann (3), Tim Hughes (3), Keith Southern (3).
