Nottingham beat Wrest Park 6-1

Thankfully the searing heat of the last few weeks had abated somewhat and this fixture was played in a comfortable temperature, albeit with a fairly strong breeze. The club's own water supply has been put to good use this summer and the Wrest Park contingent was surprised to see lawns that were not entirely straw coloured. Play started at 10am and all the morning games were completed in time for lunch at the civilised time of 1pm. The top two afternoon games were completed fairly swiftly but a closely fought match between Michael and Tim extended the entertainment until after tea.
