Fiona Crompton at the helm presents the trophy to Denise Foster

0n 5^th and 6^th September 16 competitors arrived at York CC to take part in the annual Viking Challenge short croquet event. Games were keenly fought, 5 on the Saturday and 4 on the Sunday. By the last game there were still 4 players in contention to win. A very exciting ending resulted in Denise Foster (York) narrowly beating Tim Ash (Nottingham) for the trophy.
