15 Pairs entered the Open Handicap Doubles Tournament played at Watford on Sunday 8 June. The format saw the winners and runners up of four blocks placed in the Knock-out stage.

Although many of the games were closely fought, it was clear from the beginning that the youngest competitor and his partner were on great form. Edward Patel and his father Samir Patel were the winners of the tournament, having to face their block runner-up team, Nicola Mack and Diana Joannides, once again.

In yet another close game, the Patel family duo took the title 7-6.

Edward Patel looks to be set to be a future start of the sport, will Edward follow in his father's footsteps and be a future England Team Captain?
