Heather Bennett won the Over 50s tournament at Colchester Croquet club.

The Egyptian format was used in this handicap event.

Sixteen competitors took part under mainly clear skies on the well kept lawns of Colchester . About half the players were Colchester members but the visitors dominated the event.

Congratulations go to Georgeen Hemming for gaining her silver merit award, and to Brian Havill for his bronze.

By the end of the second day, four players were well ahead on points and eventually Heather and Nigel Parkins finished equal, but Heather had beaten Nigel on the second day.
