Sonoma WCC - Wednesday
The block play is finished (except for the medallists) and we begin the winners and plate ladders tomorrow. Yes, sports fans, Ren Kraft won another game! That's two so far. It wasn't enough to get him into the winners ladder but he begins his climb up the plate ladder at 8:00 in the morning. Those of you who are fans of Ren know how he enjoys early morning starts.
He and Kenster Rosenberry finished the block play with the last game of the day in what, for Kenster, was a very important game. Had Kenster won he would move from the plate to the winners playoff ladder. The new kid just couldn't take the pressure applied by the crafty senior player. Kenster was on his way to a certain win when he missed a 5 foot roquet at 2 back. On came the Krafty Ren, who made his last 2 hoops to dash the Kid's hopes.
The new US players (Rosenberry, Cherry, and Drake) didn't win as many games as they wanted but I was very impressed with both their playing skill and their court demeanour. They will do the USA proud as our new ambassadors. Below are the day's results and the final block standings. I hope your favourite players did well.
