25th March (AC - Championships)

The European AC Singles Championship has not been held since 2018 when Jose Riva won the event at Stavstorp, Eskilstuna, Sweden. This year the event re-enters the European tournament schedule and Jose will be looking to retain his title in a 20 player event at the Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club in Dublin on 15-18 August.

The European Regional Committee of the WCF has awarded three initial Ranking Places, including a place for England's James Death, and the England AC Selection Committee has nominated Gabrielle Higgins and Stephen Mulliner for England's two Member Places. Note that all countries are initially limited to no more than three players to help ensure a good representation from across Europe, but more places may be made available on 16th April.

Two further places have gone to England players, David Fuller and Jack Good.

Further details on the event are available at https://worldcroquet.org/world-championships/upcoming-events/2024-european-ac-championship/

We wish the England players the best of luck.

Ian Lines

Chair of AC Selection Committee
