Players in the Sidmouth GC Open Series tournament faced mixed weather conditions over the two days, 6/7th July. There was a full field of 16 players taking part.

Stuart M. Smith retained the title for the second consecutive year, beating Helen Reeves in the main event Final 2/0. Helen had played an excellent tournament, with back-to-back wins throughout until the final match.

Tim Russell was also in tremendous form - unbeaten in the block stage - but lost a tight game against Louise Smith in the Quarter Finals. Louise finished 3rd overall - her best result in an Open Series tournament.

Steve Leonard took the Shield win, again in a close match with Tim Russell, whilst Neil Fillery won the Plate.
