Data Protection Advice for Clubs

An article about the likely impact of the General Data Protection Regulations on clubs was published in the December 2017 issue of the Croquet Gazette. An update to it is expected to appear in the April 2018 (the link is to an expanded version of what has been submitted for publication).

A template for a sample privacy notice to be given (or at least linked from information given) to (prospective) club members has been provided in both HTML and MS Word format. There is also a template for a consent form which club members who wish to take up Standard membership of the CA, or are already directly subscribed members of it, should be asked to complete, which asks them to give consent for their contact details to be published to club and/or CA members in the online directory.

There is a CA Data Sharing Agreement which clubs uploading membership data are required to enter into.

For results, news, reports, corrections, updates, etc. see contact the CA. As an anti-spam measure when not logged-in, # replaces @ in email addresses - click on the link as usual to send an email.

The CA will not share your personal details with any other organisation and undertakes to keep them confidential as described in our Security, Privacy, and Cookie Policies and Information.
